A sunset cruise to kick off the weekend. Drinks and light snacks are provided on board. Wear all white, and be in the lobby a few minutes before 3 so the bus can leave on time.
About the socks
Socks are optional. The groom will be wearing them, because he has chosen to keep his dogs under wraps. You are free to set yours loose.
Prone to seasickness?
Take Dramamine before boarding. It works best taken ahead of time, not once you already feel queasy.

Typical late-October conditions in Costa Mujeres. We’ll post the actual forecast here about a week before.
Warm and humid, with the occasional quick afternoon shower that usually passes fast. Late October is still technically hurricane season, so if anything changes, we’ll share updates right here.

- Clear customs and collect your bags.
- Keep walking until you are outside the terminal. Don’t stop in the hallway after customs.
- Look for the AmStar sign or rep holding your name.
Heads-up: The hallway after customs is lined with people offering rides, tours and “free” deals, and some may say they’re with your transfer company. They aren’t. Smile, say “no, gracias,” and keep moving. Your AmStar rep will be waiting outside.

Check-in and checkout
Check-in is at 3:00 PM. Checkout is at 12:00 PM. The resort is about 30 minutes north of Cancún airport.
Incidental deposit
You may be asked for a card at check-in for an incidental hold, possibly around $200. It is a temporary, refundable hold, not a charge, and it is released after checkout. Some guests report not being asked for one at all.
Book your restaurants at check-in
The à la carte restaurants fill up quickly. Make your dinner reservations as soon as you check in, especially since a lot of us will be booking the same nights.
Skip the travel club presentations
Resort staff may approach you to attend a travel club or vacation membership presentation, often with free perks attached. You are not expected to attend, and nothing about the wedding requires it. A firm “no, thank you” is all you need, as many times as it takes.

Is the Thursday, October 22 dinner required?
Nope, it’s optional. It’s a relaxed first night for anyone who’s already arrived. We’ll post the restaurant and time here.
What do I wear to the catamaran?
All white. Socks are optional (the groom will be wearing them). Bring a light layer for the breeze on the way back, and Dramamine if you get seasick.
Is there food on the catamaran?
Yes. Drinks and light snacks are provided on board. The bus leaves the Grand Palladium lobby at 3:00 PM and we’re back by about 7:15 PM.
Where are the ceremony and reception?
The ceremony is at 4:30 PM on the Gravity Terrace on the TRS Coral (adults-only) side. The reception is at 6:00 PM on the Poseidon Terrace on the Grand Palladium side.
Can I eat and drink on both sides of the resort?
If you’re staying at TRS Coral, yes. You can use the Grand Palladium restaurants, bars and pools too. Grand Palladium guests can’t use the TRS Coral side.
How do I get from the airport?
If you booked your transfer through Delia, clear customs, grab your bags, walk straight through the hallway without stopping, and look outside for the AmStar rep holding your name.
Will I be charged a deposit at check-in?
Maybe. Some guests are asked for a refundable incidental hold, possibly around $200. It’s a temporary hold on your card, released after checkout.
Do I have to go to a travel club presentation?
No, never. Staff may offer free perks to get you there. A polite “no, thank you” is all you need.
Can I save this app to my phone?

Heading off the resort?
You won’t need money at the resort. It’s all-inclusive, so food, drinks and tips are covered. If you head out for shopping or a day trip, here’s a quick converter.
Set to about 18 pesos per dollar (late September 2026). Rates move, so adjust this if you want the exact number.
About tipping: it’s included and never expected at the resort. If someone takes great care of you and you want to thank them, a little extra is always appreciated, but it’s entirely up to you.
